Who is NOT the right candidate for Scalp Air?
Anyone with a significant baldness or completely bald. A traditional SMP is recommended.
For hair regrowth, Procell Microchanneling can be the right solution. 5 treatments are recommended every 2 weeks.
Why choose Scalp Air?
Scalp Air is a sophisticated technology from Korea, where only few PMU artists have access to it. Every PMU artist needs to undergo an intensive training before being able to use this machine, therefore be rest-assured, that you will be in good hands.
You deserve a hair loss solution that's effective, painless, hassle-free with no downtime.
Other options can work but can also lead to frustrating drawbacks. For example:
Hair Transplants often leave scars and cause hair to start thinning again in just 4-5 years.
Traditional SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) takes a very long time (picture doing your scalp dot by dot) and needs 2 to 4 sessions, hurts more, and the ink can smudge or bleed out — only to eventually turn blue, drawing unwanted attention over time, if not done correctly.
Scalp Air is a game changer! It offers a natural result without the above downsides. Its sophisticated technique delivers long-lasting, seamless results with minimal discomfort, all at a fraction of the cost.
Pre-Treatment:
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood-thinning medications for 48 hours.
Wash your scalp thoroughly with a mild shampoo. The night before and in the morning of the procedure.
Stay well-hydrated in the days leading up to the procedure.
Avoid lotions, oils, or hair products on the scalp.
Limit sun exposure to your scalp for at least one week prior to the treatment.
Please do not shave your head before the procedure, depending on advice.
Do not dye or perm your hair at least one week before the treatment.
Post-Treatment:
No shampoo or water for the next 24 hours after the treatment. Rinsing the treatment site with water may cause irritations.
Do not dye or perm your hair for at least 2 weeks.
Refrain from going to saunas or exposing your scalp to UV rays for approximately a month after the procedure.
Do not pick scabs or dead skin cells produced after the procedure.
Avoid drinking and smoking for at least a week as it may cause inflammation.
Hold off on anything that causes heavy sweating for at least 2 weeks to protect your results. Light workouts are fine.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: What is Scalp Air?
A: Traditional SMP procedures can be incredibly time-consuming for both technicians and clients. However, with the innovative Scalp Air machine and specialized needles, the process is streamlined; you simply guide the pen rather than creating each follicle individually. While we primarily utilize our main 12-rubbing needle for efficiency, we also offer various specialized needles to ensure optimal results. Not every PMU artist has access to this machine. It is only acquired by specialized training.
Q: What is the procedure time for Scalp Air?
A: Scalp Air is a new SMP technology that significantly reduces procedure time. While traditional SMP usually takes about 2 hours for one area, like the parting line, Scalp Air requires only 20 minutes! Including cleansing time, the entire process takes about 30 minutes. Sometimes the session might take longer, depending on the size of the area being treated. There’s no need for numbing, and clients experience no pain, as special needles and machines do all the work.
Q: How does Scalp Air work?
A: Scalp Air is a new SMP technology! Scalp Air is a “scalp colouring” treatment that involves applying fine dots to the scalp. This technique uses ink that penetrate the scalp, creating numerous microscopic dots. It effectively covers areas with lower hair density, such as the hairline, crown, and partings. To the naked eye, these dots resemble actual hair roots, providing a natural and aesthetically pleasing result. The treatment is safe as it penetrates the scalp to a shallow depth of about 0.5 to 0.8 mm and does not wash off with water, making it semi-permanent. Scalp Air is a sophisticated procedure that efficiently creates very small dots without causing irritation. Since the ink doesn’t reach the hair roots, side effects post-procedure are minimal, and there is little to no irritation during the treatment. This makes Scalp Air one of the most effective and safe options among non-surgical hair loss and scar treatments.
Q: Does it hurt?
A: Not really! Most clients rate the discomfort at 2-4 out of 10, making it easy to manage. Plus, numbing cream is always available if you want to ensure an even easier experience.
Q: Will Scalp Air damage my hair follicles?
A: Absolutely not! Scalp Air is designed to be gentle on your scalp and is completely safe. The pigments are applied to the upper layers of your skin, so your hair follicles remain unaffected.
Q: How long do Scalp Air results last?
A: Expect your results to last between 6 to 8 months after doing only 1 session. A touch-up is recommended in order for your results to last longer. Packages are available.
Q: Can I get Scalp Air after a hair transplant?
A: Absolutely! Just check with your doctor about how long to wait after your transplant before you book your Scalp Air session.
Q: I’ve had traditional SMP — can I still get Scalp Air?
A: Yes, you can! Even if your previous SMP has faded or turned blue, Scalp Air can add more density without issue.
Q: Is the result permanent?
A: No. It is semi-permanent. It will gradually fade, if you don’t maintain it. Maintenance is recommended every 2-3 years.
Q: How long does it take to heal?
A: You’ll notice results immediately, though tenderness can last for a couple of days. Most clients fully heal within 2-3 weeks.
